Pep Guardiola is pursuing former club Barcelona’s goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, as the Spanish manager doubts Joe Harts open play abilities.
Hart’s position as the no.1 has come under doubts after Pep identified Bravo’s club-mate Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, but the German’s release-clause pushed City off.
But Guardiola has now shifted focus on the Chilean international instead as he wants a goalie who can play with his feets , in a similar way like Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer.
Claudio Bravo has been instrumental in Chile’s successive Copa America success, and Pep wants to bring the Barcelona stopper over to the Premier League as he begins preparations for the upcoming season at the Etihad Stadium.
Bravo has a release clause of £68 million, which City are willing to pay in order to acquire the services of the Chilean international who made 35 appearances for the Catalans in all competitions last season and conceding just 23 goals.
