Mexico have confirmed their progression for the knockout round after win over Jamaica.
Mexico were huge favorites to win the game against Jamaica, and the Latin American team were given the lead by a 18th minute goal by striker Javier Hernandez.
Though, Jamaica, who have lost all four of their previous Copa America encounters played surprisgnly well.
The “reagge boys” kept finding space and made constant runs, tearing the Mexican defence, but just lacked the finishing.

Mexico went into the half-time leading 1-0, thanks to a beautilfully headed effort from Chicharito.
Mexico came back more determined in the second half, playing a more attacking game.
Jamaican goalkeeper Andre Blake made some very good saves, while the forwards kept missing simple goal-scoring chances.

Jamica had as many as 5 chances to score, but forwards Clayton Donaldson and Giles Barnes could not manage to put the ball into the back of the net.
Chicarito was replaced by Oribe Peralta in the 78th minute and the super-sub made instant impact, as he doubled Mexico’s lead in the 81st minute.
