Peru got off to a flying start after a goal by Christian Cueva in the 5th minutes.
The lead was doubled by Flores in the 13th minutes after a deflected shot went past Ecuador’s goalkeeper, just a minute after Gruezo was shown Yellow card in the 12th minute.
Ecuador looked out of place for the first 25 minutes as Gabriel Achilier was shown a yellow card in the 22 minute .

But Ecuador started looking more focused from there on, and Enner Valencia’s strike in the 39th minute put Ecuador back in the match, making the score 1-2 for Peru.
Ecuador went on attack mode after the first goal, and with-in 3 minutes of the second half Miller Bolanos scored the equaliser.
Ecuador domintaed the second half and if not for some outstanding stops by Peru’s goalkeeper Pedro Gallese Ecuador would have won the match.

Peru’s Ascar Vilchez was shown a Yellow card in the 52nd minute, after commiting a foul on Ecuador’s Jefferson Montero.
Goal scorer Miller Bolanos was subsituted in the 62nd minute after he sustained an injury, he was replaced by Fidel Martinez.
Both the teams were going for the win in the last twenty minutes, with players flocking up on every possible chance.
Peru’s Enner Valencia came very close to scoring in the 79th minute, but was denied by Pedro Gallese.
Ecuador’s Gabriel Achilier received a second yellow card in the 90th minute and was sent off seconds before the final whistle.
