Croatian international and Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has said that he feels the record Champions League winners “lifting the eleventh” title.
Real are set to face their city rivals Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final in Milan on 28th May.
According to Efe, The midfielder is very confident of his teams chances in the Final.
“We know it will be a very difficult match, as always against them, but we have a lot of confidence and it is a great opportunity for us. We have to take to the field with pride and character. I am looking forward to the eleventh, although the match is fifty percent between the two teams,” said Modric.
The Croatian star, who was a part of the Real team that won against Atletico in the 2014 Champions League final in Lisbon.
“I have great memories of that final. It was a game we were about to lose. In the last corner I had to put a good ball in the middle of the excitement and anxiety of all. Sergio was placed well and got a goal.
“After that we won the game and I get excited just thinking about it. Now we return to face Atletico and hopefully get the same result again,” Modric added.
