Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s agent has confirmed that a switch to Manchester United is possible and he is confident of taking his client to Old Trafford this summer.

Borussia Dortmund have made it clear that the 27-year-old striker is not for sell as he is a key player in the squad and has a huge role to play in the Champions League next season.

However earlier last week super-agent Mino Raiola had revealed that Mkhitaryan is looking forward to join the Red Devils and that he was trying to make it happen. His latest comment is expected to accelerate Manchester United’s interest in the talented Armenian midfielder.

“It would be a sin to stop talking. I am a positive guy. If I wasn’t confident of reaching some kind of conclusion, I wouldn’t try,” said Raiola

“I am very proud Manchester United want him and the talks are being held in a good atmosphere, but at the moment Dortmund are still saying no,” he added.

Mkhitaryan had an incredible last season at Dortmund with 18 goals and 20 assists to his name in all competitions. His playmaking abilities coupled with Aubameyang’s pace and Reus’s ball control and clinical finishes in cohesion, contributed in making Dortmund a lethal attack in the last Bundesliga season. Dortmund finished 2nd on the league table, just 10 points behind the champions Bayern Munich.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has one year left on his contract at Borussia Dortmund and he has made it clear that he has no intentions to sign a new contract with the German side, which means that he will leave as a free agent if not sold this summer.

Earlier last week super-agent Raiola had accused Borussia Dortmund of not sticking to their words as the German side had earlier promised to allow Mkhitaryan to leave.

Borussia Dortmund have had been the storehouse of talented players in the recent past. With of Robert Lewandowski, Mario Gotze and captain Mats Hummels moving out to Bayern Munich and most recently Gundogan joining Man City, Mkhitaryan is believed to be the next to leave the German side.

“Dortmund have an official offer, but the BVB bosses now fear their fans,” said Raiola.

“All of a sudden they say that he has to leave on a free next summer. That’s very bad management. Manchester United is a unique opportunity, Mkhitaryan wants to go there,” he added.
