Zlatan Ibrahimovic has rubbished rumors linking him to a move back to boyhood club Malmo, saying he is too good to play in the Swedish league.
The Swedish superstar had earlier said that he would one day like to return to his former club, giving rise to speculations of the former AC Milan forward’s surprise return to his old club.
Zlatan will be available on a free transfer this summer after he let his contract expire with Paris Saint Germain.
“I am too good for Allsvenskan,” the Sweden captain was quoted as saying by goal.com.
Ibrahimovic has played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe including the likes of Ajax, Juventus, Internazional, AC Milan, Barcelona and PSG.
The stylish superstar joined PSG in 2012 saying it was a project he liked and wanted to be a part of.
Zlatan has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United after Jose Mourinho was announced as the clubs new manager, but the 34 year old has yet to address the issue.
“I want you to write stories, they get me excited, and see who can make up the best ones,” Ibrahimovic said when asked about his future.
“When I get tired of them, I’ll let you know where I’ll go.”
