Before making his record-breaking move to the Foxes, Jamie Vardy was awarded Fleetwood Town’s POTY (Player of The Year) after he helped them secure the 2011-12 Confrence Premier Title.

7. Vardy also holds the record for the highest Non-League transfer fee

Leicester City paid £1 million for Jamie Vardy in 2012, a record fee for a non-league player which at that time raised many eyebrows, but who would have thought that in a couple of years it would turn out to be one of the most bargain buys in English football.
