Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been offered to Premier League champions Chelsea for £65million.
Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are ready to sell the Gabon striker, even though he has displayed incredible form – with 120 goals to his name in 189 appearances.
However, Blues boss Antonio Conte has maintained that Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata is his main target to replace Diego Costa, who has been time off from training at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground in order to secure his move to La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
Diego Costa has been given the opportunity to find a new club – with Atletico Madrid in pole position to secure the signatures of the Spanish hit-man.
Costa had taken a U-turn and was willing to have showdown talks with boss Antonio Conte.
The former Atletico Madrid man wanted to make peace with Conte, but the Italian manager has made it clear that he does not want him to stay at the club.
But Borussia Dortmund has made Aubameyang available this summer and has put top-flight European clubs on red alert.
The Bundesliga club also believe that the Gabon hit-man could opt for a move to China.
AC Milan and PSG have also shown huge interest in Aubameyang this summer, but sources reveal that Chelsea might capitalise upon the opportunity and land him at Stamford Bridge if Conte fails to lure away Morata to London this summer.
Antonio Conte desperately wants a new striker and is keen on agreeing a deal for Morata after losing out on top target Romelu Lukaku, who snubbed the Blues to complete a £75m switch to Manchester United.
Chelsea have launched a £62m bid for Morata, but it seems that Spanish striker is set to travel with the Real Madrid squad for their pre-season campaign at the United States.

And it is understood that Real Madrid will reject Chelsea’s £62million bid, having already turned down Man Utd’s €80m (£71m) for the Spanish striker.
According to FootTheBall sources, the Real Madrid hierarchy are now holding out for an offer of €90m (£79m) for Morata.
It is also believed that Zidane would want to retain the 24-year-old talented striker although the player has made it clear that he wants to leave due to lack of game time.
And now Aubameyang has emerged as a back-up option if the Blues fail to land Morata this summer.
Conte is yet to commit his future to Chelsea after he turned down a new contract earlier this summer.
The Blues are desperate to tie down Conte amid huge interest from Serie A clubs.
The Blues have managed to make only one major signing so far this summer.
Antonio Rudiger joined the Blues from Seria A club AS Roma for a transfer fee of £34.2million and has become Chelsea’s first major signing this summer.
He will wear the No 2 shirt, which was previously donned by Branislav Ivanovic, who joined Zenit St Petersburg in February.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are confident of roping in Monaco man Tiemoue Bakayoko despite rumours that he has arrived in Manchester to complete a medical ahead of a move to Man Utd.
The Blues are also set to complete a deal with Real Madrid for right-back Danilo. It is believed that Chelsea would have to splurge about £31m to secure the services of the Brazilian defender.
