Ronaldo Tells Portugal Teammates He Is Determined To Leave Real Madrid And ‘There’s No Going Back’
Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told his Portugal teammates that he is “determined” to walk away from Real Madrid and “there is no going back” after it first emerged on Friday morning that he wants to leave the club.
Ronaldo would certainly not be short of suitors if he were to leave Madrid, and it seems clear he’s determined to do so due to feeling undervalued by his club.
The 32-year-old has recently been involved in an alleged tax fraud scandal after being reported by Spanish authorities, which may be behind his desire to move.
As well as that, however, Marca claim Ronaldo is unhappy that Real have not stood up for him more throughout the ordeal.
‘I’m leaving Madrid, I’m determined. There’s no turning back,’ he is said to have told colleagues.
Ronaldo’s departure would be a huge blow to Los Blancos, with their all-time leading scorer showing his importance once again this season as his 42 goals in 46 games fired the club to La Liga and Champions League title victories.
The Portuguese striker has a phenomenal record of 406 goals in 394 appearances for Real and is considered one of the finest players of all time.
