Leicester City Go Old-School As They Sign ‘New Jamie Vardy’ Josh Gordon From Seventh Tier Of English Football
Leicester City are going old-school as the club signed, who is being termed as the ‘new Jamie Vardy’.
The Foxes signed Josh Gordon from Stafford Rangers in the seventh tier of English football.
The non-league star is currently playing at the same level as the England international was, before being signed by Leicester.
Gordon signed a contract after impressing the Foxes bosses during a trial with the Premier League champions.
The 22-year-old has been on an impressive run of form in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division – having scored 11 goals already, since leaving Nantwich Town earlier this season.
Gordon was delighted after putting pen to paper and took to Facebook to announce the move, he said: “I am delighted to finally announce that I have officially signed for the English champions Leicester City.”
“I’m looking forward to the beginning of this new chapter in my life, the hard work starts now.”
Gordon started his career at Stoke City – but moved on after eight years at the club, and has also had spells at Alloa Athletic in Scotland and Peterborough United, before going for non-league football.
