Premier League giants Manchester United are ready to launch a late bid for Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale, according to reports in Spain.
The former Tottenham man is falling down the pecking order at Real Madrid after Isco and Marco Asensio displayed incredible form in the pre-season and also at the start of their La Liga campaign.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Isco, Marco Asensio, Marcelo, Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane are set to sign new deals at the Bernabeu.
The report also states that Isco’s new deal, until 2021, will include a stratospheric buy-out clause of €700million, around £644million.
Asensio has burst into the scene early on this season and is expected to sign a new deal that will him keep him at Real Madrid until 2023.
Asensio has shown huge potential and his recent performances for the Los Blancos have made it clear that Zidane will give him a shot ahead of injury-prone star Gareth Bale.
With the 2018 World Cup in Russia knocking at the door, Bale would need regular first-team football, but once Cristiano Ronaldo returns from his suspension, Bale will have to beat out Isco and Marco Asensio for a start.
And Manchester United are ready to offer the Welshman an escape route.
The Red Devils have reportedly launched a £93m for the Real Madrid star with only two days left on the summer transfer window.
Man Utd have made it clear to the Real Madrid bosses that they have a 48 hour deadline to accept or reject the staggering offer.
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is desperate to land Bale at Old Trafford and had said that he would “fight with other coaches” to sign the Welshman during just ahead of Man Utd’s UEFA Super Cup defeat against the Los Blancos.
And sources close to the former Spurs star has revealed that Bale has made it clear to Real Madrid that Old Trafford is the only place he would consider moving to.
However, according to Don Balon, Real Madrid would not be willing to sell the Welshman as they have no time in hand to rope in a replacement.
