Man Utd Boss Jose Mourinho Confident Of Signing £50M Danny Rose
The England star has gone down the pecking order at Spurs ever since he suffered a long-term knee injury in January.
Rose is not happy with life at Spurs due to lack of game-time as he wants to make sure that he seals a place in the Three Lions squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Rose had earlier hinted that he wants to part ways with Spurs, with Man Utd willing to include unsettled star Luke Shaw as a part of the deal for the Three Lions defender.
Earlier this year, reports had claimed that the England left-back was set to make a switch to Man Utd during the summer transfer window, but his knee injury blocked any possible move.
Man City sold Kyle Walker to Man City in the summer and the club bosses were not willing to let Rose leave as they did not have many options in the full-back position.
Man Utd have used winger Ashley Young as a makeshift defender this season and this has turned out to be blessing in disguise and his incredible performances earned him a call up to the England squad.
But according to the Daily Mail, Mourinho is confident of landing Rose at Old Trafford.
Rose’s relationship with the Spurs bosses took a downhill ride after he criticised the club’s wage structure in an interview with the Sun.
And ever since the fall-out, Rose has earned only two Premier League starts this season – and it is being said that he will be offloaded as soon as the right offer comes in.
But sources claim that Man Utd want to get rid of Luke Shaw, who is not in Mourinho’s plans before signing the wantaway Spurs star.
However, Mourinho claimed that Shaw will be given a chance against CSKA Moscow on Tuesday.
“When we speak about Luke Shaw, he’s working to have an opportunity and sooner or later that opportunity will arrive because he deserves that opportunity,” said Mourinho.
“Selected for tomorrow, yes for sure. To start or be on the bench. I cannot answer.”
