Tottenham Hotspurs star Dele Alli was full of confidence after his side beat Arsenal in the North London derby on Sunday.
Alli was quick to remind Arsenal fans of their diminished status after Spurs made sure that they will finish the season above their hated rivals.
Alli was on the score sheet as he opened his account in the North London derby, with Tottenham coming out on top with a 2-0 scoreline at the last derby at the White Hart Lane.
Tottenham will finish above Arsenal for the first-time since Arsene Wenger took over charge at the Gunners.
Alli posted a message on Twitter saying “Atmosphere was amazing, thank you to all the fans.. north London is ours!!”
“I have to blame myself a bit for my header at the far post – I was kicking myself for missing that – but we dominated from the start,” Dele Alli told BBC Sport, referring to a near miss in the first half.
“It’s a huge win for us and the fans. We just have to keep looking to improve. We fell off at the end of last season, so it’s important we continue to build on what we’re doing.”
Tottenham face another local club as they visit the London Stadium to face West Ham in a bid to catch up with Premier League leaders Chelsea, who are four points clear at the top.
