PSG Prepare £25M January Bid For Man City Target Alexis Sanchez

Published on:

Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain want to hijack Manchester City’s move for Arsenal contract rebel Alexis Sanchez and are willing to launch a £25million bid for the Chilean in the January transfer window.

Sanchez transfer saga drags on

Sanchez’s representatives held talks with PSG officials in Paris and the Ligue 1 club want to seal a deal for the Chilean as quickly as possible.

Sanchez has entered the final seven months of his contract with Arsenal and the Chilean forwards looks set to leave the North London club before the end of the season.

Sanchez is out of contract at the end of the season

The former Barca man is desperate to play Champions League football and now a number of Europe’s elite clubs are eyeing to rope him in January.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are expected to launch another bid in the New Year after having failed to land Sanchez with £60million that the Gunners bosses rejected on transfer deadline day.

Guardiola wants Sanchez

But the current Premier League leaders are now set to face competition from PSG.

According to Express Sport, Sanchez wants to reunite with his former Pep Guardiola at Man City.

The Chilean will not be cup tied for the Champions League and Pep Guardiola might look to rope him in January to increase the depth of his squad to battle on all fronts.

Sanchez has also been linked with a move to PSG, who want to sign him in January

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has already suggested that he might have to sell either Sanchez or Mesut Ozil, with the duo having refused to sign new deals which means that they will be able to leave the North London as free agents next summer.

PSG are reportedly ready to sell Uruguayan striker Edison Cavani in January to make way for Sanchez.

Sanchez is keen to join Man City

Meanwhile, the Ligue 1 leaders have been in touch with Sanchez’s representatives. PSG also believe moving from London to the French capital could appeal to Sanchez rather than moving to the North West.

Either way, Arsenal are resigned to losing Sanchez in the summer, after his contract talks reached deadlock.
