Spurs Star Dele Alli Tops Mbappe And Dembele As World’s Most Expensive Young Player

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has topped the list of the most expensive Under-21 player, after being valued at over €20 million more than Monaco teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe has drawn huge attention and is under the radar of top-flight European clubs after displaying form last season.

The French teenage sensation guided Monaco to Ligue 1 triumph and also to the semi-final of the Champions League – with26 goals to his name in all competitions.

The 18-year year Old French wonder-kid is now expected to surpass Paul Pogba as the most expensive player in footballing history if he leaves Monaco this summer.

Real Madrid and PSG are in pole position to rope in the French midfielder, with the Ligue 1 side seeing a whooping €135m bid turned down by Monaco, who are not willing to sell their prized asset.

However, the the latest Soccerex report on players born on or after January 1, 1996 by Prime Time Sport has announced Spurs star Dele Alli as the most expensive Under-21 player, with a valuation of £73.6m (€82.6m).

The report takes in to consideration the player’s age, position, current club, contract length, market value perception, international caps, minutes played, goals, injuries and technical quality to set the value of each player.

Dele Alli won the PFA Young Player of the Year for the second season in a row this year after netting 18 Premier League goals last season and now the English superstar has been declared to have a value which is more than any other young player in the footballing circuit.

Mbappe could pick up £10.5million in wages at PSG.

Mbappe is just behind him with a net worth of £55m (€61.7m).

Dortmund youngster Ousmane Dembele, 20, sits third in the list with a worth of €60.9m, while Man City man while Leroy Sane (€51.1m) and Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio (€42.7m) are fourth and fifth in the list.

The only other English player in the top 20 is Manchester United prodigy Marcus Rashford, sitting seventh in the list with a worth of €40.6m, but he is just behind Man City striker Gabriel Jesus, who has been tipped to cost €42.6m.

The list has been dominated by strikers and midfielders, but AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has made it to top 10. The Italian shot stopper comes in eight and he is worth €40.5m.

Theo Hernandez

Theo Hernández, who joined Real Madrid for a €24m transfer fee from Atletico Madrid this summer is the highest ranked defender in the list with a valuation of €24m.
