Reports coming in suggest that Antonio Conte’s last ditch £25.75 million bid for Inter Milan star Antonio Candreva was rejected.
The versatile 29 year old Italian can operate in central midfield as well as on the wing. He was termed as “unsellable” by the Italian club who signed him for £19 million from Lazio.
After parting ways with Brazilian Oscar, Antonio Conte was eager to land Antonio Candreva who played under him during his two year managerial spell with Italy.
The Nerazzurri consider Candreva to be their top prized asset and wont let him leave so easily.
Antonio Candreva is an ideal fit for Conte’s system at Chelsea where he can be slotted as a second striker or a right wing back.
He started the Euro 2016 for Italy but eventually got injured against Sweden missing the rest of the tournament.
