The Premier League 2023/24 season is just around the corner. An off-season of chopping and changing for most Premier League clubs, means this season promises to be a thriller.
As part of in course for the preparation for the new season, the Premier League has organized a summer tournament in the USA with half a dozen English top-flight teams.
It has gained a lot of popularity in a short time, but what is the tournament about? And which teams are participating in it?
What is the Premier League Summer Series?
The 2023 Premier League Summer Series is the inaugural edition and is already underway in the USA. The six Premier League teams will square off against each other in the scorching heat of the States, in a bid to shape up for the new season.
The brand new tournament is a pre-season friendly football tournament which was announced by Premier League CEO in early 2023. It is an eight-day tournament and is also the second Premier League affiliated competition outside England after the Premier League Asia Trophy.
PL Summer Series teams
Half a dozen Premier League teams will be participating in the PL Summer Series from July 22-30, 2023. Five East Coast Stadiums will host the first-ever Premier League Series which will play teams like Chelsea, Brighton, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Fulham and Brentford.
