Many of these clubs have been winning trophies for over a century, which shows their incredible history. And their massive trophy collection is one of the reasons why they are among the most followed clubs in the world. 

So, we bring you the top European clubs with the most trophies.

Liverpool- 70 trophies 

With 70 trophies to their name, Liverpool are the most successful English club in Europe. The Reds have won 19 league titles (the second-most in English league history) to date. In addition, they have also won eight FA Cups, 16 FA Community Shields, and nine EFL Cups.

They are also the most successful European English club, with six European league titles, three Europa League titles, and four UEFA Super Cups. However, despite that, the club has only won the FIFA Club World Cup once.

Barcelona- 76 trophies 

Spanish club Barcelona have, with Real Madrid, dominated the Spanish and the European scene for years. And this is the reason why they are among the most successful European clubs of all time. The Catalans have won La Liga 26 times, making them the second-most successful club after Real Madrid. 

In addition, they have also won the Copa del Rey 31 times, 14 Supercopa de Espana, five UEFA Champions League, five UEFA Super Cups and three FIFA Club World Cups.

Bayern Munich- 82 trophies

Porto- 83 trophies

The team has won the Primeira Liga 30 times, Taca de Portugal 18 times, Taca da Liga one time, Supertaca Candido de Oliveira 23 times, and Campeonato de Portugal four times. 

On the European front, they have won two European Cups, two UEFA Cups and one UEFA Super Cup and have also won two Intercontinental Cups.

Olympiacos- 83 trophies 

Greek club Olympiacos may not be a leading force in Europe, but their dominance in the Greek league has been such that they are among the most successful clubs in Europe. The club has won a record 47 league titles and have also won the Greek Cup 28 times. 

Olympiacos have also won the Greek Super Cup four times and the Greater Greece Cup three times. However, success has eluded them on the European stage, with the club only having won one Balkans Cup in 1962.

Benfica- 84 trophies 

Like Porto, Benfica are also famous for developing young players into talented stars. And this model has brought them huge money and 84 trophies as well. On the domestic front, they have won 81 trophies, including 37 league titles, 26 Taca de Portugal, seven Taca de Liga, eight Supertaca Candido de Oliveira and seven Campeonato de Portugal.

Real Madrid- 100 trophies 

When Real Madrid defeated Saudi club Al-Hilal in the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup final, the club created history as it became the 100th trophy they won. This makes them one of the most successful clubs in Europe and the world.

Celtic- 113 trophies

In addition, Celtic have also won 40 Scottish Cups (the latest in 2019-20) and 20 Scottish League Cups (the latest in 2021-22). They also have one European trophy to their name, which came in 1967 when they defeated Inter Milan to become the first Scottish and the third British team to win the European Cup.

Rangers- 121 trophies 

Perhaps there is no other league in the world that has been dominated by two clubs as much as the Scottish league. Rangers may not be among the top European clubs currently, but with 121 trophies to their name are the most successful clubs on the continent. The Scottish clubs have a rich history and have won the Scottish league 55 times. In addition, they have also won the Scottish League Cup 27 times and the Scottish Cup 34 times. 

They have also won the Scottish second-tier, third-tier, and fourth-tier league titles once. However, European success only came once for the club in 1972, defeating Dynamo Moscow to win the European Cup Winners Cup. Their latest title came last season when they defeated Hearts to win the Scottish Cup.
