Donnarumma’s current contract ends in 2018 and the Rossoneri are trying their best to keep-hold of their prized asset.

The Milan number 1 is seen as the long-term successor of Juventus’ Gianluigi Buffon for the Italian national team and the Bianconeri want to lure him to the club.

Donnarumma’s agent Mino Raiola had earlier stated that his player will not sign a new deal until Milan’s impending take-over by the Chinese group shows positive result.Donnarumma

However, AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani is hopeful that the club will be able to keep the teenager at the San Siro.

“I hope the contract will be signed when he comes of age [turns 18],” Galliani told MilanNews.

“I hope and I think that he’ll stay in Milan. Raiola wants to know what the ambitions and future of Milan are, and who the owners are.”Donnarumma

“We have a very good relationship not only with Gigio, but with Raiola. We wait for the closing [of the takeover].”

Donnarumma has played in every single game this season and the 17-year-old has proved his worth at the club.
