Antoine Griezmann has expressed his desire to play alongside French teammate Paul Pogba at club level.
Recent rumours have linked the Atletico Forward to various destinations such as Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain, Chelsea and Manchester City.
It isn’t the first time Griezmann has hinted at some kind of separation between himself and the La Liga outfit, and it seems almost inevitable that the player’s long-term future is destined to be away from the club.
Griezmann has impressed with his outstanding performances in the Euro 2016 and at the club level as well with Atletico Madrid in recent years.
Will he be joined by Paul Pogba at Atletico Madrid?
The in demand striker has caught attention of various big spenders in Europe and may be on his way if tempted by a lucrative offer.
“I always ask Paul Pogba about Manchester United. I think they are a huge club with a really good infrastructure. I ask Paul about some of the players, and if they’re really that good, or if Jose Mourinho is really that good,” said Griezmann.
“You hear a lot of things (speculation) about Manchester United and Paris St Germain but right now I don’t see me moving to a new club. But it would be awesome to play alongside Paul one day.”
