Chelsea boss Antonio Conte received a major blow to his transfer plans after his advances were rejected by former Juventus striker Carlos Tevez.
The 32-year old Tevez is currently playing for boy-hood club Boca Juniors in Argentina after leaving Juventus on a free-transfer last summer.
Chelsea have already secured the services of high-profile young Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi from Marseille in a £33.2 million deal.
“The day after we lost, Conte called me and asked if I wanted to come to Chelsea. I told him no.” Tevez told Argentine radio station Radio La Red.

“I’m fine at Boca. Indeed, my intention, my dream is to finish my career as a player at this wonderful club,” Tevez was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport after a press conference in Argentina.
“It is true, Chelsea and Napoli want me, but I repeat what I said before. My desire is to stay with Boca until I retire,” he added.
The former Manchester United and Manchester City star is also being linked with a move back to former club West Ham, however, the Hammer’s have been reluctant to pay the high wages that the commanding forward demands.
While the pursuit of another striker could mean the end of Diego Costa’s time at Stamford Bridge, with former club Atletico Madrid chasing his signature.
