Barcelona are on the lookout for Swiss duo Stephan Lichtsteiner and Fabian Schar according to latest reports.
Barca’s sporting director Robert Fernandez visited Andorra to watch the Swiss stars in action.
Urbano Ortega, Barca’s chief-scout also accompanied Fernandez to catch the Switzerland duo in action in the World Cup qualifier on Monday.
Lichtsteiner has lost his first-team place at Juventus after the arrival of former Barcelona star Dani Alves at the Turin based club, while Bundesliga side Hoffenheim’s Schar is being looked at as a potential replacement for ageing Javier Mascherano.
Dani Alves left Barcelona this summer on a free transfer for the Italian champions Juventus and has ousted Lichtsteiner from the first-team with a string of good performances.
While the Camp Nou outfit are still struggling to find a proper replacement for the Brazil international, the Catalan giants could turn to Juventus to strengthen their struggling defence.
