Pep Guardiola has already identified the players who do not fit in his plans for the upcoming season and is set to offload the out-of-favour bunch before the transfer window closes.

Guardiola is keen on finding potential suitors for Wilfried Bony, Samir Nasri, Jesus Navas and Eliaquim Mangala and it is believed that Mangala would be the first player to leave the club this summer.

Pep Guardiola has been busy in the summer transfer window in order to bolster his squad ahead of the upcoming EPL and Champions League campaign.

Former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has already spent a whooping £90million for securing the services of Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Jesus (£28.6m), Leroy Sane (£37m), Ilkay Gundogan (£20.4m), Nolito (£13.8m), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (£1.7m), this summer

It is believed that the new City boss is in desperate search of a top flight defender to add strength to the back-line before the summer transfer window closes.

stones

John Stones has been highly linked with Manchetser City in the recent months with other other top clubs also interested in securing the signatures of the English centre-back.

Guardiola is keen on replacing Mangala with the Toffees centre-back John Stones. However, Foottheball sources earlier confirmed that Manchester City saw their £40m take-it-or-leave-it bid for John rejected by Everton.

The Toffees are not ready to lower the £50million valuation of England defender John Stones and they believe that there is big gap between the asking price and Man City’s recent bid.

Foottheball sources also confirm that Everton has shown no interest in accepting Wilfred Bony as a part of the money and swap deal.

Ronald Koeman

Everton are believed to be firm on their stance as they hope that Man City will come up with an improved bid for Stones because the City officials are highly interested in signing the player – to complete Guardiola’s transfer jigsaw puzzle.

Guardiola plans to make immediate changes in the back-line as Otamendi has been ruled out for weeks due to injury and Vincent Kompany is struggling to regain match fitness.

At present it is believed that Guardiola is banking upon Tosin Adarabioyo, Aleksandar Kolarov and Fernando to solve the defensive puzzle until Man City captures English forward John Stones.
