Robbie Brady’s late header in the 85th minute gifted Republic of Ireland a much needed win as they secured a place in the knock-out stage as one of the best third placed teams. The Irish side will lock horns against hosts France in their upcoming game.
Norwich City forward Robbie Brady got on the end of a well-timed cross from Wes Hoolahan before launching a header to beat the goalkeeper. Seconds after scoring the goal, Brady ran towards the Irish fans to embrace his brother and girlfriend, creating one of the most emotional celebrations in Euro 2016.
FootTheBall journalists confirmed that the woman as Brady’s long-time girlfriend Kerrie Harris. That one iconic celebration dragged Harris in the limelight and since then she has been one of the hot topic of discussion this Euro 2016.
After the historic victory, Harris posted two pictures of the iconic celebration on her instagram account where she wrote: “LITERALLY THE PROUDEST WOMEN IN IRELAND RIGHT NOW.”
