‘Juventus Could Be A Possibility In The Future.. But My Love For Milan Is Too Much’ – Montella

AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella has refused to rule out the possibility of one day coaching Juventus.

The Rossoneri boss is preparing his side for a massive clash against the Turin based side in the Serie A.

However, what is surprising is that the Diavolo boss wouldn’t mind succeeding Massimiliano Allegri at the Juventus Stadium – who won a Scudetto with Milan before joining Juve in 2014.

Montella also spoke about his desire to one day work abroad, with London being his preffered destination.

“A professional doesn’t rule out anything at the start of their career, so why not?”

“When I was 17 there was talk of interest from Juventus, I was young and promising. Then I got injured and the interest was never firmed up.”

“Maybe coaching Lazio would be more complicated given that in Rome I have a house in the other part of the city!”

When asked about a possible move outside of Italy, he said: “I would have no difficulty doing that, I think it enriches you. Certain leagues and certain cities I like more than others – London for example.”

“The best coach I had was Luciano Spalletti, he could have played me more, but he did open my mind.”

However, the former Roma man conceded that he would like to remain at the San Siro for a long-time if the circumstances are right.

“Will I stay at Milan for a long time? I would like to.”

“The important thing is to have the opportunity to grow together, I want to help the team improve and win again. Everything depends on sharing objectives and being able to renew.”

“It is not a question of staying for a year, three… 10 or even of opening or closing a cycle.”

“That is all theory, if you have a common purpose you can start from the same place. I had a contract with Fiorentina, my family and I were happy, but I felt it was time to stop.”

Milan are currently seventh in the league, although they trail Lazio who are fourth by just three points.
