However, Pulisic has rubbished all speculations after he revealed that he is a huge Man United fan. It is now believed that he would be more interested in joining his childhood hero Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford.

Pulisic told ESPN: “I was a big Manchester United fan when I was younger.

“I loved to watch Rooney. I wouldn’t say I’m a similar player, though.

“I think his passion for the game is something you don’t see much in players. That’s what I loved about him.”

Borussia Dortmund winger Christian PulisicIt is expected that Pulisic would face an uphill task in cementing a place in the first team after Dortmund brought in Mario Gotze, Andre Schurrle, Emre Mor and Ousmane Dembele this summer.

However, the Dortmund winger is determined to fight for his place and asserted that Dortmund boss Tuchel makes his choices depending on form alone.

“I don’t look at those guys any differently than I do any other player because of what they have accomplished already.

“I don’t think the coach does either. I think he’s just looking at every day in training and how we’re performing at the moment.

“There are a lot of great players coming in in similar positions.”
