An Italian journalist has made a startling claim that Liverpool are ready to buy the services of Slovakia star Marek Hamsik from Napoli this summer, even suggesting that a huge offer has already been submitted towards this goal.
According to a report published in the Tribal Football, Giulianelli has claimed, “Aurelio De Laurentis, the Napoli president, has received a proposal of about €45m for the Slovak midfielder, who has been offered a contract of four years at €6m.”
The 28-year-old has been a key player for Slovakia at the Euro 2016 campaign and has spent majority of his professional career at Napoli joining from Brescia back in 2007.
The report further claims that Roberto Firmino is being targeted by Pep Guardiola for Manchester City.
With the report best remaining speculative, only time will tell who’s going where when the Euro 2016 comes to an end and the transfer window kicks in big time.
