Man Utd Target Griezmann Insists He “Sees No Reason” To Leave Atletico Madrid

French superstar Antoine Griezmann has accentuated that he has no reason to make a move away from Atletico Madrid amid huge interest from Manchester United.

Griezmann played a pivotal role at the Spanish club for the last few seasons and already has 20 goals to his name this term.

Manchester United boss Mourinho is now desperate to bolster his attack and is looking forward to rope in Griezmann for a world record fee in the summer transfer window.

Griezmann has earlier revealed that Manchester United legend David Beckham, who wore the No.7 shirt, has been his idol.

Foottheball sources claim that Manchester United are ready to meet Griezmann’s £80million release clause but earlier Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo accentuatd had accentuated  that the French player will stay put at the Spanish club.

Atletico Madrid sit fourth in the La Liga table – just one point ahead Sevilla as Diego Simeone is desperate to seal a spot in the Champions League next season.

Atletico also have a 4-2 first-leg advantage over Bayer Leverkusen in the last-16 of the Champions League and now they are confident about reaching the last eight ahead of the second-leg clash on March 16.

And now he has rubbished all speculations surrounding his future.

He said: “I always get the same questions about my future and it is getting a bit tiresome.”

“Like I always say, I am very happy here at Atletico and in Madrid.”

“The weather is great, my team-mates are some of the best you can have and I am working with a great coach.”

“So I am feeling very well here. I see no reason why I would want to leave.”

Griezmann has also urged Diego Simeone to stay at the club amid links with Serie A club Inter Milan and Premier League Arsenal.

He added: “He’s very happy here and he feels the team has a lot more to give.”

“He also wants us to go far in the Champions League and in La Liga so I am sure he’ll continue.”
