Premier League’s Mark Clattenburg On Chinese Super League Radar

Chinese Super League is now targeting FIFA official Mark Clattenburg to officiate matches in their league.

The 41 year old was crowned the best referee in the world at the prestigious Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai. Clattenburg officiated the finals of FA Cup, Champions League and Euros in 2016.

China have been involved in various match fixing and corruption scandals in football and are looking to clear their act by hiring one of the best in business.

China have already made overtures to the biggest stars in the Premier League as Wayne Rooney has had offers of up to £700,000-a-week.

John Terry and Alexis Sanchez have also had huge offers to go and play football in China.

The Chinese league is on a massive building stage as they look to recruit top players and officials across the world.

Rumours suggest that Howard Webb has been interviewed twice for the job as head of referees in the Major League Soccer (MLS).
