Mourinho’s Wishlist For Manchester United : Who’s In And Who’s Out

Mourinho Mata

Manchester United fans are overjoyed ever since Jose Mourinho took charge at Old Trafford and it look like the Portugese super-coach is not leaving a stone un-turned to make the Red Manchester club, title contenders again.

Mourinho’s United has been linked with almost every big star in Europe as the “Special One” looks to overhaul an average United squad into genuine title contenders.

A number of first-team players are said to be shown the door as Jose looks to build his team with some fresh talent.

OUT

1. Daley Blind

Blind is a utility player and can play in multiple positions, he was LVG’s first choice Centre-back.

But reports suggest that the Dutchman is not a part of Jose Mourinho’s plan for United and Arsenal are set to be monitoring the situation.

2. Matteo Darmian

Matt Darmian is one of the few players who Mourinho is looking to off-load.

The Italian full-back could be in a for a shock swap-deal for Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic, as Jose wants to be reunited with his trusted Serbian.

3. Juan Mata

One player who United fans will not like to see leave is the midfield maestro Juan Mata.

Mata was sold to United by Mourinho when he took charge at Chelsea for the second time.

The Spanish international has been a hit at United and is a fan-favorite at Old Trafford.

4. Memphis Depay

Memphis was given the prestigious number 7 jersey by Louis Van Gaal, and the Dutch was touted to be a huge success at Old Trafford, but he has failed to make any impact during his debut season at the club.

Depay will be hoping that Mourinho gives him time to prove himself, but it all depends on the Portugese tactician.

5. Morgan Schneiderlin

Schneiderlin had a decent year under LVG and he might feel that it’s unfair to him to not be given more time at the club.

But he will not have any shortage of offers, wit new Everton boss Ronald Koeman waiting in the wings.

Morgan worked under Koeman at Southampton and the manager is keen to be reunited with his former player.

1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan has stated it many a times that he wants to be reunited with former boss Jose Mourinho and it looks like his wish is about to get fulfilled.

Mourinho has approached the Swedish superstar to join him at Old Trafford and the 34-year old has reportedly signed the deal, medical-impending.

Zlatan had the best season of his career, as he scored over 50 goals for PSG in all competitions.

2. Leonardo Bonnuci

The Italian international is on Chelsea’s radar but Jose Mourinho is set to go an all out war with his former club as he looks to hijack the deal.

Bonnuci currently plays for Juventus in Seria A and is considered as one of the best central-defenders in Europe.

Though Bonucci would cost United around £25 million, but with around £200 million at his disposal the price shouldn’t be a factor for Jose.

3. Nemanja Matic

Chelsea’s Matic is one of Jose Mourinho’s priorities for this summer.

Jose is a big fan of his former player, and wants Matic to join him at United.

Recent reports suggested that Matic had asked Chelsea board to allow him to join United and with in-coming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte desperate to sign Darmian from United, Jose could use it to his advantage.

4. Breel Embolo

Basel forward Breel Embolo is one of the brightest prospect in Europe with a number of clubs on high-alert.

Jose approached the 19-year old’s agent and later asked super-agent Jorges Mendes to take charge of the negotiations.

5. Paul Pogba

The French superstar has been on Jose’s radar for a couple of years now, and the Portugese manager tried to sign Pogba for Chelsea last-season but failed due to the board’s lackluster transfer policy.

Pogba, a former United player was let go by sir Alex Ferguson on a free transfer in 2012 and since developed into one of the worlds’ best.

Jose has time and again stated that he is a big fan of the French midfielder.
