Brazilian Serie A champions Palmeiras have announced Eduardo Baptista as their coach for the next two seasons.
The 46-year-old replaces Alexi Stival, who stepped down after guiding the Sao Paulo outfit to their first top-flight title in 22 years last month.
“I’m very happy to join a club of this stature,” Baptista told the official Palmeiras website on Friday.
“I’m going to be replacing a coach who did a brilliant job. My task is to carry on that work in pursuit of more titles.”
Baptista’s coaching career has included spells in charge of Sport Recife, Fluminense and Ponte Preta.
