Published on:

It’s Sunday, and that means another round of Premier League fixtures. So, what Premier League fixtures are on today? Here’s a rundown of the two Premier League fixtures on today. Both could have massive ramifications on final standings, as well as European qualification and relegation-

Newcastle United vs Arsenal (4.30 PM KO)

Arsenal will look to keep their faint hopes of a Premier League title win alive with a win in this fixture. However, Newcastle United are an equal threat now and with Manchester United on their tails for the third spot, will be motivated to ruin Arsenal’s challenge.

Among the two Premier League games on today, this is the early kickoff, which will give Newcastle a chance to lay down the marker before the team chasing them plays later.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are playing catch-up with Manchester City now, with the Cityzens four points ahead with four games to go. If nothing else, a win here for the Gunners would mean City will feel them breathing down their necks at one point behind, albeit having played a game more.

Expect Newcastle United to pose a stern challenge as St James’ Park has become their fortress this season. Arsenal are coming off a high, beating Chelsea at home and will need to go again. This could be a draw where two quality sides cancel each other out, helping neither.

Prediction: Newcastle 1-1 Arsenal

The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League as part of their Super Sunday coverage.

West Ham United vs Manchester United (7 PM KO)

The second of the two fixtures will be the “David Moyes derby” as his resurgent West Ham side takes on Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United side coming off a chastening 1-0 defeat to Brighton.

After a low start to the season, West Ham have buckled up and some good stretches of form have steered them away from the drop. However, they are still only four points off of 18th place, so they still have a lot to play for. Moreover, they have an extra day of rest on Manchester United who have been notoriously weak in away games this season.

With Red Devils‘ Champions League qualification in their own hands still, Erik ten Hag will look for a reaction from his charges. United have bounced back from defeats quite well this season and he would expect the same here. With home games against Wolves, Fulham, and Chelsea to come, United will want to confirm their top-four spot as soon as possible so the focus can turn to the marquee FA Cup final clash against archrivals Manchester City.

Prediction: West Ham 1-2 Manchester United
