Arsenal Line Up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang To Replace Wantaway Star Alexis Sanchez
Sanchez has entered the final seven months of his contract with Arsenal and the Chilean forwards looks set to leave the North London club before the end of the season.
The former Barca man is desperate to play Champions League football and now a number of Europe’s elite clubs are eyeing to rope him in January.
The Chilean is not cup tied in the Champions League and Pep Guardiola will look to rope him in this month for increasing the depth of his squad to battle on all fronts.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has already suggested that he might have to sell either Sanchez or Mesut Ozil, with the duo having refused to sign new deals which means that they will be able to leave the North London as free agents next summer.
This is Wenger’s last chance to cash in on the Chilean, who will leave for free at the end of the season if not sold in the January transfer window.
The Frenchman has now identified a host of players to replace Sanchez – with Aubameyang topping his wish list, according to Calciomercato.
The Gabon international, who has emerged as one of the deadliest strikers in the world of football, is reportedly not happy with life in Germany.
According to reports, Aubameyang had a huge bust-up with Dortmund bosses and players after a move to his former side AC Milan broke down last summer.
The Gabon striker has endured a rocky season for Dortmund, who are third in the Bundesliga table – 13 points behind current leaders Bayern Munich.
The 28-year-old has 13 league goals to his name in 15 starts this season but was been suspended for “disciplinary reasons” this season.
It is being said that Aubameyang deliberately turned up late for training sessions on several occasions suggesting that he is eyeing to force a move away from the club.
And when asked about the possibilities of a move in January, he had said: “I have not renewed a contract.
“In the winter market a lot can happen, also for me.”
