Legendary Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon named Leicester City as the team that he would like to avoid facing in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The reigning Premier League leaders overcame the odds and beat Sevilla 2-0 to progress to the final eight on an aggregate scoreline of 3-2.
The Foxes endured a miserable start to their title defence, but have steadied the ship after Claudio Ranieri’s sacking.
Meanwhile, Juventus also cruised past 10-man FC Porto with a 1-0 win to storm into the quarters.
Buffon was very impressed with the Foxes as he singled-out Leicester City – leaving out the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
He said: “Who do I prefer not to play? Leicester, because they are a dangerous and passionate team who can cause trouble for opponents who take the initiative,”
“Against them, we would have everything to lose,” he added.
“They have got enthusiasm, they know how to hurt the strongest teams. We’d have everything to lose against them.”
Meanwhile, match-winner Paulo Dybala said, “With the squad we’ve got, we can’t think about not getting to the final,” said the Argentine. “I’d pick Barcelona to repay the bill from two years ago,” he added.
