Manchester United will give Jose Mourinho the funds to make four big signings next summer, according to reports.
The Red Devils splurged almost £150million to rope in Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic in the summer.
Mourinho also wanted to sign one more wide player during the summer transfer window to provide competition for Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata. He had identified Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic as his top target but Man Utd failed to push through the deal for the Croatian winger.
He had also revealed his interest in Gareth Bale but eventually things did not work out.
Antoine Griezmann was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, a potential deal broke down due to Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban, which left the La Liga club unable to rope in a replacement.
And Griezmann announced during that time that he would stay put at Atletico as the La Liga club could not sign a replacement due to transfer embargo.
And according to Spanish publication SPORT, Mourinho will be given funds next summer to bring in big names to Old Trafford.
According to reports, Griezmann and Bale remains Mourinho’s top targets and Man Utd could splurge around £136m to rope in the duo.
Real Madrid bosses have reportedly decided to put Gareth Bale for sale after becoming frustrated with the Welshman’s never-ending injury problems.
Bale is now out of action after suffering a fibrillar rupture to the adductor muscle of his left leg.
Previously, he spent several weeks on the sidelines with a calf injury – and this now means that the Welsh forward missed 91 of Real Madrid’s 250 games since he arrived at the Bernabeu in 2013.
The club bosses are not happy with Bale’s ever-growing injury concerns and according to Spanish reports, they have now made up their mind and are ready to put the former Spurs man for sale.
Griezmann’s future at Atletico Madrid will depend on how Diego Simeone inducts Diego Costa into the starting line-up once the Spanish striker officially signs in January.
The report also claims that Manchester United are also keeping tabs on RB Leipzig’s Emil Forsberg and Valencia star Carlos Soler
Marouane Fellaini’s Man Utd future is in doubt with the Belgian yet to sign a new contract and Michael Carrick will reportedly part ways with the Red Devils in May, which means that Mourinho will have bring in new players to bolster his midfield.
And sources close to the club have told FootTheBall that the Red Devils bosses want to sign Soler, who is displaying incredible form for Valencia this season, as a replacement.
