PSG Will Use Neymar To Lure Alexis Sanchez To Paris And Sell Cavani To Get Around FFP

Ligue 1 giants PSG are planning to make a move for Arsenal contract rebel Alexis Sanchez, a player that their world-record signing Neymar had put in his wish-list when he joined the French club this summer, according to Le Parisien.

Neymar Wants PSG To Sign Alexis

The French giants are ready to sell their star striker Edinson Cavani to pave way for Sanchez and the report also claims that the Ligue 1 giants could also offer Julian Draxler, who is a long-time Arsenal target, in order to push through the deal for the Chilean.

The Sun reports that PSG are ready to rope in Sanchez on a free transfer next summer and will not not pay for the Chilean in January.

Alexis Sanchez and Neymar are pals and have been since their time together at Barcelona

The Ligue 1 club wants the Chilean forward to replace Cavani next season.

PSG are now confident that they can bank upon Neymar’s friendship with Sanchez in order to seal the deal.

And now Manchester City fear that they might be handed a huge blow in the face by PSG in the race to sigh Arsenal contract rebel Alexis Sanchez.

Alexis Sanchez was set for a £60million move to Manchester City in the summer

Man City were on the verge of signing Sanchez but Arsenal turned down their £60m bid on deadline day as the Gunners failed to land Monaco star Thomas Lemar, who opted to stay put at the Ligue 1 club.

It seems that Sanchez is determined to leave Arsenal having already suggested on numerous occasions that he wants to play in the Champions League.

The former Barcelona man is free to talk to European clubs as he will be out of contract next summer.

Arsene Wenger looks destined to lose Alexis Sanchez

Pep Guardiola remains hopeful that the 28-year-old forward will prefer a move to City, despite failing to land him in the summer transfer window.

Many pundits and City fans were a bit surprised when Guardiola went for Sanchez during the summer transfer window – as it would mean dropping the axe on either Sergio Aguero or Gabriel Jesus.

The City duo have developed a blockbuster partnership this season, which suggests that Man City bosses might wait till next summer to rope in Sanchez on a free transfer.

But meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain have stepped up their interest in Sanchez as they want to place him alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappe up front.

Sanchez had met with PSG bosses in the French capital this summer and sources reveal that they had discussed the possibility of a potential transfer.

The Chilean had demanded a mammoth £400,000-a-week wage packet but the French giants had made it clear that they could not afford to pay him such high salary.

But the PSG bosses has assured him of a whooping signing on fee and promised to top Man City’s £275,000-a-week offer.

It seems that PSG might offload Edinson Cavani, who was recently involved in a bust-up with Neymar over free-kick and spot-kick duties.

A source revealed: “City’s pursuit of Alexis could be in trouble. Pep is sure he wants to join the club but Paris are sniffing.”

“They still have the funds to sign him and can beat City’s wage offer. They will also pay him a huge signing on fee.”

“Sanchez can talk to European clubs in January and sign a pre-contract. He’s in a very strong situation.”

Jose Mourinho is ready to rival Pep Guardiola for Alexis Sanchez’s signature

PSG have already splurged a world-record £198m fee to land Neymar from Barcelona this summer.

They also roped in teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe on loan with an obligation to buy him for £166m next summer.

Manchester United have also shown interest in him this week with Mourinho reportedly wanting to launch an offer of £25million to rope in Arsenal contract rebel Sanchez, who will be out of contract next summer.

Sanchez is also under Real Madrid’s radar but Man City still remain hopeful of landing him for £20m in January.

Arsene Wenger is understood to have accepted he is leaving, but wants Monaco ace Thomas Lemar as his replacement.
