Bacca scored the first for Colombia with a decisive header into the back of the net from an inswinging Rodriguez corner.
Rodriguez fired low into the bottom corner with his left foot to double the lead for Colombia in the 30th minute.

Paraguay came back strong even after going down 2-0 within the half hour mark. They had chances to score but lacked the finishing touch. Lezcano’s strike from a set piece in the 44th minute was denied by the crossbar.

Ayala pulled one back for Paraguay in the 71st minute. He picked up the ball well and moved towards the right of the goal before logging a thunderous strike from 25 yards over the head of Ospina into the top corner.

Both the team battled neck to neck, with Paraguay desperately looking for an eqauliser. They came close in certain occasions but were unlucky to find the net.

Colombia will be high on confidence after defeating USA 2-0 in their opening game and will look to hold on to the form against Paraguay on Tuesday.

A victory in Tuesday’s clash will confirm Colombia’s advance to the knock-out stage.

ParaguayOn the contrary Paraguay this is a do or die situation and they would be desperate to clinch a victory against Colombia after a goalless draw against Costa Rica in their opening game.
