Alvaro Morata Tells Real Madrid He Is Leaving For Chelsea

Published on:

Premier League giants Chelsea are now on the verge of securing the signatures of Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, according to reports.

Sources reveal that the Spanish forward has now informed the Real Madrid bosses that he wants to leave the club in the summer.

The Spanish striker had moved back to Real Madrid from Juventus last summer but has not found life happy under Zidane.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen on roping in Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata as he believes that the Spanish player could play a pivotal role in their title defense next season and would also bolster the attack as the Blues return to European football next term.

The £70 million-rated ex-Juventus striker is on Antonio Conte’s radar as the Italian looks to find a replacement for Diego Costa whose future at the club seems uncertain.

Alvaro Morata is finding it hard to feature regularly for the Los Blancos and is now in search of a new club to fulfil his dreams.

And Spanish media outlet Diario Gol reported that Morata will part ways with Real Madrid in the summer transfer window – with Chelsea in pole position to secure his services.

Morata has now dropped a massive hint this week by stating that he expects to link up with former Juventus boss Antonio Conte soon.

Sources also claimed that Conte has already promised Morata of a regular place in the first-team and their passion about challenging for more trophies.

Reports also claimed that his girlfriend has now bought a new property in London – adding more fire to rumours that Morata is keen on making a switch to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues failed in their bid to sign him last summer, as Real Madrid were not willing to part ways with their Spanish star.

Morata has displayed incredible form this season but has lacked game-time due to the presence of Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema in the attacking line-up.

He scored a hat-trick against Leganes on Wednesday and already has 11 La Liga goals to his name this season.

His current contract at Real Madrid is set to expire in 2021.

Morata is keen to make a move to the Capital, but it is believed that Chelsea would have to splurge enough cash to rope in the star.

And it is believed that Real Madrid will not accept any offer less than £34million for the Spanish forward.
