In a surprising turn of events Chelsea have told Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian that they are willing to part ways with star striker Diego Costa.
However, the catch here is that the Chinese club will have to pay a hefty £127 million in transfer fee fr the Brazil born talisman.
Tianjin made a staggering £90 million offer for the Spain international in January, with a £85 million wage packet for three seasons – however, Chelsea were quick to shoot down the Dragon invasion after letting Oscar and John Obi Mikel leave for the far-east.
The mega-money move had Costa unsettled and was reported;y involved in a rift with Blues boss Antonio Conte.
Althouth, the Stamford Bridge outfit were able to convince their star man to stay put at the club for the time being.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has since offered Costa a new lucrative deal, but it is unlikely that it will be anywhere near of what the CSL outfit have offered the 28-year-old.
Costa could still be on his way to China if Tianjin are willing to spend big and break the world-record fee.
