Deulofeu Lands In Italy Ahead Of Milan Move
The Rossoneri have been linked with the Everton outcast for months now and after the toffees landed Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United the move was all but done.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman had stated that Deulofeu was free to leave and both the clubs were locked in long negotiations, with Everton demanding a loan-fee and a surety of the Diavolo buying the player at the end of season.
However, Milan had refused to meet the Goodison Park outfit’s demands.
But it looks like that the deal is all but done as Deulofeu spoke to the media after landing in Milan.
“I am very happy to be here,” he told the assembled media at the airport. “I chose Milan because it’s a great club.”
The Spaniard was also happy to be linking-up with his former team-mate Suso at the San Siro.
The Rossoneri had tweeted a welcome message for the Everton man but the tweet was later deleted and no confirmation was made.
FootTheBall sources in England suggest that Everton made a complaint about the tweet citing that no official agreement had been reached.
Earlier, Milan CEO Adriano Galliani had suggested that negotiations were still on, adding that he was unsure if a satisfactory conclusion would be reached.
