Barcelona have been dealt a huge blow in their Phillippe Coutinho pursuit as Liverpool have rejected their second bid for the Brazilian midfielder.

The midfielder has been the subject of two bids from La Liga giants Barcelona – £70million and £90m – but both have been rejected by Liverpool.

Liverpool are adamant in their approach to keep him at the club

And now the Spurs bosses are aware that Barcelona have now identified Eriksen as one of their top targets with Liverpool determined to keep Coutinho .

Eriksen displayed sublime for Spurs last season

Eriksen had displayed incredible form to guide Spurs to a second place finish last season – with 12 goals to his name in all competitions and also 15 Premier League assists – second behind Kevin De Bruyne’s 18 for Manchester City.

And Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has now made it clear that they will not allow any other player to leave having already sold full-back Kyle Walker to Man City this summer.

Daniel Levy is the current Spurs chairman and has been since 2001.

Levy is currently abroad on transfer business as Pochettino is keen to bolster his sqaud before the summer transfer window closes.

Spurs are yet to sign a new player this summer and want to step up their transfer business in the remaining three weeks.

Spurs are keen to sign Pape Cheikh Diop from Celta Vigo

The North London side are now keen to rope in Celta Vigo midfielder Pape Diop.

The 20-year-old Senegalese star has a release clause of £25million and have played for Spain at Under-18 and Under-19 level.

Barcelona have also had a bid rejected for Borussia Dortmund’s 20-year-old forward Ousmane Dembele since they sold Brazil forward Neymar to Paris St-Germain for a world record £200m last week.

Dembele has drawn huge interest from Barcelona

The German club confirmed they met Barca representatives but the offer did not meet their valuation of the France international.

Borussia Dortmund have also suspended Ousmane Dembele after missing the training, the “BVB” confirmed in an official statement on Thursday.

The 20-year-old France international had missed Thursday’s training session without permission, as he wants to force a transfer to Barcelona after Dortmund turned down the opening offer.
