AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca hinted that James Rodriguez has decided to leave Real Madrid this summer.
The Colombian’s current contract at Real Madrid is due to expire in 2020 but he is keen on making a move out of Madrid in search of regular football.
Rumours about the attacking midfielder’s desire to leave Real Madrid intensified when he was axed from the Champions League final squad by boss Zinedine Zidane.
Rodriguez has found life unhappy under Zidane and has been highly linked with a move away to Manchester United in the summer due to lack of game-time.
James has been heavily linked with a move this summer, with Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea keen on roping him in on a big-money move. Serie A side AC Milan have also shown huge interest in securing the services of the attacking midfielder.
And Bacca feels that James could opt to part ways with the Los Blancos after a season in which he made only 13 starts in the La Liga.
Bacca said: “He’s fighting for his place as he has been doing every day.”
“It’s not easy to make the decision to leave Real Madrid and go to another club.”
“He has to have a cool head, which is what he does, because he’s a professional.”
However, it is believed that Real Madird president Florentino Perez is now willing to offload the Colombian, whom he had made the third-most expensive player in history when he had splurged £71million to secure his signatures in 2014 from AS Monaco.
