Man Utd To Make £50m Lacazette Move As Mourinho Looks To Beat Arsenal For Striker

Published on:

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is all set to launch a move for £50million striker Alexandre Lacazette.

With Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban upheld on Thursday, the club bosses would be unable to replace their superstars if they leave this summer. And now it is believed that this might be the reason why Griezmann has decided to stay loyal to the Los Rojiblancos.

This will be a huge blow for Manchester United, who were keen on securing the services of the French superstar and may well have to shift their focus elsewhere for roping in a top striker this summer.

And now Mourinho has shifted his focus on Lyon Striker Lacazette as Man Utd look forward to rope in a top striker this summer.

Lacazette has made it very clear that he wants to make a switch in order to compete for major trophies elsewhere.

He has proved his class in the last four seasons at Lyon – with a total of 113 goals to his name out of which he has netted 37 times in the 2016-17 campaign.

The 26-year-old French striker has been under the radar of Premier League clubs – with Arsenal and Liverpool keen on roping in him, but he had expressed desire of a move to Atletico and recently admitted that Griezmann has been “trying for a while to get me to come”.

And now the FIFA punishment for signing under-age players means Atletico Madrid will be blocked from securing the signatures of Lacazette.

This has now handed a huge boost to Manchester United as they are now keen on landing the Lyon striker after losing out Antoine Griezmann due to Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban.
