Real Madrid star Karim Benzema could replace Arsenal contract rebel Alexis Sanchez next season, according to media reports in Spain.

Sanchez’s current contract at Arsenal is set to expire after 14 months and the Chilean has stalled negotiations over a new deal. The Gunners hierarchy is now worried that they might have to lose the former Barcelona man on a free transfer.

And now Arsenal have reignited their interest in Karim Benzema in order to replace Sanchez, if the Chilean opts to leave the Gunners in the summer.

Benzema has been linked with several top-flight European clubs – including AC Milan, Chelsea, Juventus and PSG.

And now according to donbalon.com, the French striker is not finding life happy at Real Madrid under Zidane, who is keen on roping in a new striker in the summer transfer window.

Sources reveal that Arsenal are now ready to offer him a huge pay rise in order to lure him away to the Premier League.

Arsenal have lacked precision in front of goal this season and it is believed that the Gunners bosses are now desperate to secure his signatures in order to appease the Gunners fans.

Wenger is also eying to rope in Porto’s attacking midfielder Yacine Brahimi in the summer.

And it is believed that the Gunners would have to splurge around £35million in bid to sign the Algerian star amid AC Milan and Inter interest.

Arsenal fans are already divided over Wenger’s future at Arsenal. It is believed that the Frenchman is on the brink to sign a new two-year deal with the Gunners – who are now seventh in the Premier League table and are struggling to find their way in the top-four.
