Wenger Demands Arsenal Stars To Give A Last Shot At The Title

Published on:

Arsene Wenger admitted that his side are in a crucial period over the coming months and his experienced players need to step up.

Arsenal are 8 points behind leaders Chelsea and face the Blues in a crucial game at Stamford Bridge in February. But Wenger believes that his players need to focus game by game as they enter a “moment of truth.”

Hector Bellerin, Francis Coquelin and Keiran Gibbs are all declared fit for Burnley clash this weekend boosting Arsene Wenger’s options at the back.

“The big games are only important if you do well in the games that have less interest”, Wenger told reporters in his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“We are going to the moment of truth now – January until May. It’s five months to go. You want your players with big players in the squad back now. That’s why I say every game is important and we just focus on the next one.”

Arsenal have a FA Cup fourth round match against Southampton at the end of the month before playing Watford in the Premier league.
