Indian football team is certainly living some good days after breaking into the top-100 of the FIFA rankings, and now there’s a chance of Indian U-17 team to play with the big teams in football such as England, Brazil etc, when they play in the FIFA U-17 World Cup that begins on October 5, 2017.
The tickets for the FIFA U-17 World Cup was launched on Monday by none other than Spanish and Barcelona legend Carles Puyol at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.
Puyol handed over the first ticket of the FIFA U-17 World Cup to the descendant of former Mohun Bagan captain Shibdas Bhaduri.
Puyol graced the event being the chief guest along with Sports Minister Vijay Goel. He was helped by World Cup tournament director Javier Ceppi as a translator.
“Indians will get the chance to see World Cup matches live and that experience is completely different from watching it on television. You can feel the energy in the stands,” said the former Barcelona legend.
He also laid emphasis on the importance of the U-17 world cup for the future of the sport in the country as he said, “At the FIFA U-17 World Cup, you can see the stars of the future.”
“Indians should make the most of this opportunity and come in numbers to watch international teams play at home,” he added.

The tickets will go live to the general public on Tuesday. Goel and may be available for prices as less as Rs. 50.
