If you play Fortnite and are a football fan, you are in for a treat. Fortnite just announced a new ‘Kick off’ set in order to promote their new tournament ‘The Pelé Cup’ which is going to be held on 20th January across 7 regions. Here’s everything you need to know about the tournament and its rewards.

Fortnite has turned out to be one of the biggest pop cultures in the world right now. Throughout the world, all kinds of people play this game together. Even footballers have been influenced by this game and players like Antoine Griezmann, Dele Alli do Fortnite dances after scoring a goal. Other than that there are a number of players who stream and play Fortnite.

 

The Lion himself, Zlatan Ibrahimović is a big fan of the game and uploads Instagram stories of him playing like a pro in the game. Neymar and Aguero have a huge following on their twitch account because they have streamed hours of them playing Fortnite.

Now it is time for Football to influence Fortnite. The football related rewards and skins are going to be a great motivation for the fans to play more. Even people who aren’t followers of the sport can learn how cool and fun the beautiful game is.

THE KICK-OFF SET

Fortnite has teamed up with 23 football clubs and has released 23 different football skins from various leagues of the world for the gamers. Players can either buy them in-game or win them as rewards in the tournament.

The kick-off set also includes a new special emote of the iconic Pele’s air punch celebration.

THE PELE CUP

Pele cup is the big one-day event that is going to be held across the seven regions in Fortnite. It’s in the single-player format of the Battle Royale game and it is packed with prizes. A participant can take part in a maximum of 10 games or 3 hours in the event to play and win as much as possible.

THE PRIZES


The prizes are so appealing and insane that a person who doesn’t play Fortnite on a regular basis might try and take part in the event. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place participant in every region will receive a signed Santos FC jersey (real, not a skin). The other top contestants will be getting various football skins and emotes to make their game a lot more fun.
