Huge blow for Manchester United as Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic could leave Old Trafford in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The former PSG man signed a one-year contract with Manchester United – with an additional option of extending the deal by a year.
And now sources claim that Zlatan will take the final call about his future at Manchester United only after the end of this season as MLS club LA Galaxy are desperate to secure his services next summer.
However, Jose Mourinho is hopeful that Zlatan, who scored the late winner in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday, will extend his contract by a year.
Zlatan has proved his mettle after arriving at Man Utd from PSG with 14 goals to his name from 20 starts in all competitions and now it is believed that the Swedish striker will only stay put if he believes that he can influence a Man Utd title push.
He has always tried to give his best during his successful spells at Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan and PSG.
Zlatan does not want to be considered as a big-shot name playing a small role in the squad and taking his wages home. He is always desperate to match his own high standards in a top-notch club like Manchester United.
And sources claim that he will only stay at United if he can help United to challenge for the title.
