Manchester City Want Emre Can From Liverpool As Borussia Dortmund Join The Race For Juventus Midfield Target

Published on:

Borussia Dortmund have now joined the race to sign Emre Can from Liverpool and reports claim that the Bundesliga club are eyeing to rope in the German midfielder on a free transfer next summer.

Dortmund want Can

Can’s current contract with the Reds is set to expire at the end of the season and now the German star is demanding a mammoth wage packet to stay put at Liverpool.

Juventus have also shown huge interest in signing Can in the recent moths but the Serie A club now face tough competition from Dortmund.

Can is also under the radar of Man City

Since arriving at Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen, Can has displayed good from and has become one of the key players for the Reds and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is desperate to tie him down to a new deal.

Can remains a long-time target of Juventus

Can has made it clear that he will only stay put if the Reds offer him a wage packet of around £150,000-a-week – which is double the amount that he currently takes home – but the Liverpool bosses are not ready to match his wage demands.

Reports claim that Manchester City are also interested in Can and could make a move for the Germany international at the end of the season.

Can remains a long-term target of Juventus and reports in Italy claim that his international team-mate Sami Khedira is leaving no stones unturned to convince the Liverpoll star to join him in Turin.

Emre Can has also been accused of stalling on a contract extension this summer

Can could also opt to hold talks with foreign clubs in January and force a move away from Anfield before the end of the season.

But it is understood that Klopp is a huge admirer of Can and his game style and it is being said that the former Dortmund boss will give his best to keep him – despite the arrival of Naby Keita next summer.
