Real Madrid president Florintino Perez is ready to give up on efforts to sign Chelsea star Eden Hazard in order to peace Marco Asensio.
Real are expected to go in for Blues midfielder Hazard at the end of this season as Zidane looks to restructure his side.
But reports in Spain claim Perez could dismiss the plans of his manager in order to keep Asensio happy.
According to Diario Gol, Perez made a pact with Asensio that he would protect the player’s development at Real.
Signing Hazard would no doubt impact on Asensio’s chances of being selected in the starting XI.
And Diario Gol claim Perez will stick to his word and ensure that doesn’t happen.
It remains to be seen however, how Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane reacts to the situation for the former French international is keen on bringing Hazard to the Bernebau.
